Vancouver Island Regional Library may on occasion require personal information for events or contests. This information is not shared or sold to third parties.
Storage of Information
Personal information is stored in our databases and in hard copy files. Only authorized Vancouver Island Regional Library personnel have access to the information they require to do their job. Vancouver Island Regional Library takes appropriate measures to secure this information.
Cookies
The Vancouver Island Regional Library website does not use cookies in any part of it. The only information collected is that of normal logs, which include the IP address of the visitors along with other basic information, such as the state and or country the visitors are from, what websites they visited prior to coming to the website (the referrer link) and other minor details. This information is usually used for marketing purposes but is not "collected" specifically by the website, but by the server which serves the website. No form data on the website is ever saved or stored on the website server, but instead is mailed to an appropriate e-mail address. No private information is collected by our website.
